Qsan F200C 4Gb FC (x2)-SAS RAID Controller with VSS & SAS JBOD expansion
Qsan has positioned itself as iSCSI / IP SAN and SAS expert ever since established in year 2004. Qsan now enhance its product lines with Fibre channel interface and announce the general availability of 4Gb FC-to-SAS RAID controller: F200C. With F200C availability, now Qsan has completed RAID controller product lines for customers’ requirements of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SAS, SCSI host interfaces, the support of SAS and SATA II drives, and entry level cabling solutions of iSCSI, SAS, & SCSI interfaces.
F200C is the latest FC-to-SAS RAID controller built around with Qsan innovative RAID stack, featuring industry-leading performance on Intel IOP platform. With dual 4Gb Fibre channels connected to the host, either working independently, or MPIO together, the benchmark data shows up to 70,000 IOPS and F200C throughput can achieve up to 800MB/sec. The outstanding performance is produced by not only the highly-optimized Qsan stack but also strong computing power offered by Intel XScale IOP341. At drive-side, F200C supports SAS drives, thus SATA compatible. Not only it supports up to 16 drives in single enclosure, there is a SAS JBOD expansion port built-in, connectible up to 4 SAS JBODs and up to 80 drives with 128TB size limit. The SAS interface adds flexibilities, higher performance, and very cost effective expansion. Other useful features in previous products are also included, such as RAID 6, on-line migration, web-based management, snapshot (QSnap) and so on. F200C is also featuring with Windows Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS) and Virtual Disk Service (VDS) with no extra change. Windows VSS provides an interface which allows coordination between user applications that update data on disk and those that back up applications. With Windows VSS support, F200C can achieve nonstop service and backup volumes in the same time.
