When you ask industry people what happened in 2006 most would answer with a lower than expected sales result. At 7 Elephants, however, the growth in 2006 was over 50% and 2007 appears heading for another banner year at 7 Elephants.
“The quality of our lines, our friendly staff and our service has made it easy to run through numerous hurdles that sever competition brings. Coming out even more successful than ever”, says Sharam Tabibnia, CFO.
Why is there such optimism and success at 7 Elephants? “We have expanded all aspects of the business to include an all new facility to accommodate the unprecedented growth. Further, our distribution business gets better because we have increased our International Sales office by 2, to a total of 10”, says Ashkan Tabibnia, VP of Sales and Marketing.
While industry statistics clearly show a market in decline, not many brands are taking this aggressive business model strategy. Most are doing “business as usual” and that just doesn’t seem to work the way it used to.
“We are so confident in our approach to this new environment with our business model that we have introduced 2 new brands in 2007 with expansion plans well into 2008; MD Sound and NT Power. Our Konaki brand is on fire because it offers more than just car audio, but a better brand of car audio.
“We have entered into several new product categories such as, Navigation, MP4 players, Bluetooth and Digital Cameras, we are not business as usual”, says Sharam Tabibnia, VP of Product Planning, “this will give our customers a greater selection of products so they can grow their business as we have.”
The new facility at 7 Elephants offers not only greater capacity in 2008 for greater inventory levels, but also features an all new showroom to enhance customer visits and to allow viewing and demonstration on all products.
The 2008 media plan is also geared toward supporting our retailers and distributors with print and online presence. We are in many publications “spreading the word” of our new brands and we are planning some major promotions to help create greater interest in 2008.
