Cultural tourism in Rome: Roman Triumphs on display at the Coliseum

Hotel Traiano (http://www.hoteltraiano.it/uk/), located in the heart of Rome, reminds all fans of art and lovers of cultural tourism that they can visit and admire Roman triumphs inside the Coliseum through mid-September: reliefs, bronzes, coins, sculptures and paintings are all on display to provide an understanding of Rome’s triumphs.

The exhibition is divided into sections: the first relates to the evolution of the triumph, or public celebration, from Etruscan times through the Hellenistic world; the second features images of illustrious vanquishers and vanquished, including Emilius Paulus, Casar, Pompei and Octavian and reproduces battle scenes; the third and final section is devoted to the vanquished peoples, the Greeks, Jews, Dacians and Barbarians.

Tickets also give access to the Palatine and Roman Forum areas.
