NHPC IPO - National Hydro-Electric Power Corporation
State-owned National Hydro-Electric Power Corporation (NHPC) is planning to come out with an initial public offering (IPO) in the January to March period next year.
The government will dilute 24% stake and issue more than 550 million shares.
NHPC, which had filed a draft prospectus with market regulator SEBI April this year, proposes to add about 1.11 billion fresh equity shares.
NHPC, India`s leading hydroelectric power generating company, proposes to add a capacity of 5,300 MW in the 11th five year plan.
The proposed IPO of State-owned National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) which was expected to hit the markets before the end of March 2008 has been postponed and NHPC IPO will hit the markets in the fourth quarter of 2008.
