Mathias Kagabo, leader for 13 million orphans across the continent of Africa defended Ambassador Hope, private sector leader for ‘the President’s Legacy – Hope on AFRICA’. He said “she is our Ambassador, we love her, she is the only one that has stood up and represented all of us”.
Mathias said “She follows the teachings that we are all God’s children and she worked out a plan to serve all of our needs. My role is to set an example of what is possible….I was the first orphan to receive a Virtual Parent from America and it saved my life and gave me a future”.
Charles Kutegana, is Mathias’s teacher, a father of four orphans and heads up the ICT Program for Uganda, he is furious at the slander and threats that Ambassador Hope has endured. “Why do people have to carry so much hatred?” he exclaimed “Ambassador Hope is leading the most difficult Program on the continent and yet people think its OK to slander and threaten her? Those people should come to Africa and see the difference she has made, educating Presidents, Ministers, faith and community groups to, to re-imagine them to embrace crisis and work for all that are orphaned and sick. Ambassador Hope has clear plans which the orphans in Uganda have understood and appreciated. Therefore the orphans are actively participating in the databasing exercises all over the country with a lot of hope, looking up to Ambassador Hope as the mother of the motherless.”
Charles continues “Ambassador Hope has overcome threats of death and rape, failures and broken promises….yet she keeps breaking through the boundaries and unifying resources and organizations, she deserves support from every African living in America”.
