"Since I was a little kid I used to draw with my older brother. It became a part of me, and now I draw every single day. I taught myself how to screen print and quickly saw how many chemicals are used in the process," says Addison. "From day one I sourced sustainable and environmentally conscious printing methods."
Partybots Eco-Apparel boasts 64 choices of available artwork and is adding more regularly. All the artwork is original and drawn by hand using pen and paper. Once the drawings are completed, they are converted and introduced to the screen printing process. Some of the more interesting drawings are of a mustachioed box war, which took Addison four months to draw the intense detail, and a printed intestine with ants inside aptly called "intestants"
"Almost all of my drawings are inspired by my friends, my personal observations, my imagination and my travels. There are so many eco-friendly companies out there; most of their images and graphics are very eco-aware and oriented. My apparel line is a great mix of sustainability and artwork, which is both fun to look at and talk about."
Partybots Eco-Apparel goes to great lengths to sustain our environment. Conventional screen printing uses aerosol spray adhesive to keep the shirts from moving during the printing process. Partybots uses natural water based garment glue that is brushed on and not sprayed. All of the solvents Partybots uses are soy based and biodegradable.
The labels in the shirts are made from 100% organic cotton and are hand screened and then hand sewn into the shirts. The clothing tags, catalogs and other marketing materials are printed on 100% post consumer recycled paper stock. Partybots also uses Alternative Apparel's Alternative Earth line, specifically the eco-poly blends and 100% organic apparel. These are the softest shirts on the market. They are made utilizing low impact dyeing at a fixation rate of 70% or more and water filtration with no heavy metal content or salt added to the dye bath.
"Owning a business, it is my responsibility to do everything I can to make ecological decisions. I'm very proud of the printing methods I choose and I seek to improve upon them wherever I can. As far as the apparel goes, I prefer to use only the best. Alternative Apparel is the best out there hands down."
Addison releases several new printable versions each month selected from drawings he creates daily. You can find the Partybots Eco-Apparel line in 36 stores including Whole Foods Market and many other retailers across the US and internationally or via their website, www.partybots.org
"I'm proud to tell people that I'm an artist when they ask what I do and proud to contribute to the sustainability of our environment in every way that I can."
