Operation Golden Phoenix, which started on July 20 and will run through July 24, is a multi-agency collaborative training event designed to assist federal, state and local agencies with large and complex incident response scenarios. The operation is a demonstration as well an exercise in emergency preparedness and training. San Diego State University is hosting the Industry Demo in several rooms at the Chemical Sciences Building with the demonstration center at the Visualization Center, where SensorWave occupies four large displays with live monitoring scenarios as well as footage of the effectiveness of Virtual Patrol’s talk-down feature and Actionable Video Verification (AVV) capabilities. http://www.sensorwave.com/
“One of the big problems with preparing to respond to any critical situation and coordinating necessary resources is the reliability of information at the actual location,” said Dr. Eric Frost, Co-Director, Visualization Center San Diego State University. “SensorWave integrates intelligent surveillance and analysis capabilities, with talk down features that allow monitors and dispatch to communicate at site level and send real-time footage, AVV, to responders and coordinators. This is an invaluable feature for disaster preparedness, and a necessary component of an emergency response program,” Dr. Frost added.
“We are very excited about the response that Virtual Patrol is getting from emergency response agencies across the board,“ said SensorWave chief executive officer, Kendell Lang. “By integrating all the needed components of a comprehensive security solution, we have filled every gap needed for emergency responders – from detection to analysis, to communication and verification.”
SensorWave offers training at its on-site training facility, Sensorwave University, to first responders and federal, state and local agencies on the most effective verification techniques for verifying threats and communicating with public safety officers.
