FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jul 24, 2008 – The quintessentially British Cadogan Hotel has launched a new and indulgent Afternoon “ARTea” in conjunction with the well-established art specialists, The Kings Road Art Gallery.

Whilst enjoying Afternoon Tea in The Cadogan Hotel’s Drawing Room, guests will now be able view an exclusive collection of works from The Kings Road Art Gallery.  The paintings will provide guests with the unique opportunity to combine exquisite art with the time-honoured British tradition of high tea.

In celebration of the new Afternoon ARTea, the new Head Chef, Oliver Lesnik, has created bespoke “artist palette” biscuits, complete with edible paintbrushes.  Oliver has a wealth of experience, having previously worked under Angela Hartnett, Jean-Christophe Novelli, and Gordon Ramsay.

Currently, guests indulging in Afternoon ARTea will be able to view an exclusive collection of works by contemporary Asian Masters: Yin Xin; Jean-Marc Huss; and Min Wae Aung.  The art exhibitions on display at The Cadogan will rotate on a quarterly basis.  The original stained glass windows and oak wood panelling in the hotel’s Drawing Room offers the perfect backdrop to view these superb paintings, which have been handpicked by the Kings Road Art Gallery.

Afternoon Tea is served from 3pm and includes a wonderful variety of scones, jams, pastries, sandwiches and large selection of teas.  Prices for afternoon tea start at £22.50 and Champagne afternoon tea is priced at £28.50.

About the Cadogan Hotel:
The Cadogan is one of London’s prestigious five-star Knightsbridge hotels.  This quintessentially British hotel is part of Stein Hotels & Resorts distinctive portfolio of 16 luxury boutique hotels, which are regularly frequented by A-list celebrities.  The hotel was once the home of Lillie Langtry, the famous actress and close friend of King Edward VII.  After she sold the house, Lillie still used to stay in her old bedroom (109) by then part of the hotel.  However, The Cadogan is perhaps still best known for its association with Oscar Wilde who was arrested for gross indecency in room 118 in 1895.
