We are proud to expand our offerings of vacation packages for tourist who are arriving at the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) Clark Special Economic Zone. “We have always believed in looking at the DMIA airport as part of our marketing.” Says company President Charles W. Davis “now that the Subic Clark Tarlac expressway (SCTex) is fully open, the area can now truly be seen as one location. We will continue to concentrate on inbound travel to the Subic area but have now included hotels at Clark and Angeles City which are now only 45 minutes from Subic Bay.” Subic Bay being now only 45 minutes from the DMIA opens the area up to those from Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong and Malaysia who fly into the Philippines for weekend trips. Closer to the airport than it is to Manila, Subic bay offers much more for a weekend getaway. Charles continues by saying” we see the three areas as a great compliment to each other, Clark can hold up some of the weakness that Subic may have as a destination such as casinos golf courses and 5 star hotels while Subic adds a wide range of activities including water sports and beaches. One item that really illustrates this is a new program we have developed with a Clark Casino hotel. The hotels surveys showed that repeat business was being impacted because the wife of Gambling guest got bored. We developed a option for their marketing department so that the Casino or golf “widow”
and family could spend an overnight at a nice beachfront resort in Subic Bay.”
