CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS for new Mook | Passionate Hookers

PR Log (Press Release) – Jul 22, 2008 – Local Adelaide publishers, Brascoe, are seeking submissions for a new mook. What is a mook? It's a cross between a magazine and a book: looks and feels like a book, but is magazine-like in its design.

This mook, titled Passionate Hookers, will be for all the crochet freaks out there. The mook will be aimed at those who are into crochet aged 18 to 35 years (so you'll be able to give one to the hooker in your life!), but with an appeal far broader. The mook will be a 'good fun' read for anybody, so submissions must not be targeted at a highly specialised audience.

The publishers are seeking features, fiction, non-fiction, patterns, tutorials, essays, and light-hearted stuff like quizzes. Particular requirements are set for each type of submission, and can be found in the submission guidelines, at http://www.brascoebooks.com.au/hookers.html.

Submissions are currently OPEN. The deadline for all work is 1 October 2008.
