Our certification course is approved for 3 hours of Continuing Education credits- in 15 states and we have 6 others who are considering approval" says Ms. Kerry Mitchell, President of Green Real Estate Education." The states where the course is approved are Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, California, New Mexico, Minnesota, South Carolina, Maryland, DC, Virginia, Illinois, Iowa, Hawaii, Washington State and Delaware. Our 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st states on the drawing board for approval are Massachusetts, Idaho, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Texas, and Oregon. The course's classroom delivery presentation is well received and includes bringing in information from "local" sources for Realtors to share with their client base. Ms. Mitchell continues, "this is just one of the reasons our company is way ahead of the crowd. Real Estate Professionals are focused on their own markets, not the country. Climate issues are state specific."
The course is under $100 per student and includes the manual, A LOGO TO USE and certification. The GCREP-GL- certification and course "Green Building for Real Estate Professionals-
Green Leadership-" is ARELLO approved. It is the company's first level in the Real Estate Environmental and Energy Education Certification Series to be created over th next 5 years. Ms. Mitchell states, "Agents will not pay over $100 for anything in these times. They are having a difficult time paying thier membership dues, and our course is very stimulating and exciting and offers a new topic very much on everyone's mind." The strategy is the signture of the company. They bring in local experts to share local information with the students. They do have corporate clients such as Dreamtown Realty in Chicago and Coldwell Banker and many other inquiries. Mitchell continues,
"Dreamtown is marketing and positioning their company as green leaders and they are wonderful examples of utiltizing our course and our logo and implementing the possibilities "green" marketing can present as a company. Green Real Estate Education has 8 instructors throughout the country to cut down on company and board expenses.
The company teaches in a classrooms setting and is not in a hurry to do on-line presentations. "There are many who still want their education face to face and this topic lends itself to this need." says Mitchell. "We are scheduled in Washington State, Virginia, Hawaii and California in the coming months.
