Freedom (of Speech) Rings Once More! RNC Crumbles Under Cafepress Pressure

Recent C&D order from the RNC to Cafepress Spawned Not-So-Nice GOP Tees. Cafepress shopkeepers are NOT to be taken lightly when it comes to their designs and ideas! Don’t Mess with the CP Shopkeeper! And Don't think Cafepress won't support them.

GOP Elephant Butt

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jul 22, 2008 – After a long 5 month battle between the T-shirt Print on Demand King and the Republican National Committee, a decision has been agreed upon allowing most of the designs to stay.

Political t-shirt artists fought back when they heard the news that the GOP acronym and the stylized red white and blue elephant was no longer allowed on the thousands of t-shirts available at Cafepress.  Freedom of Speech and parody prevailed with some of the unique designs born from this trademark battle.

One of our favorites is the GOP Elephant Butt: http://www.cafepress.com/GOP_BUTT  showing the rear of the elephant with the ‘O’ in GOP strategically placed under the animal’s tail.  On the other side of the coin, a more blatant Republican elephant angry with crossed arms painted red white and blue with the sentiment ” No Elephant Shirts Allowed- RIP GOP” can be found at,  http://www.cafepress.com/RIP_GOP.

The proverbial Pandora's Box had been opened and the shopkeepers at Cafepress were ready and More than willing to fight back.

Cafepress was made well aware of the passion from these artists, as was the GOP and RNC.  An exciting win for Cafepress online T-shirt company and their shopkeepers after the recent threat from The Republican National Committee (RNC)  to sue online t-shirt company Cafepress for allowing various GOP designs to adorn T-shirts, stickers, buttons and other political gear.

The decision marks a huge victory for free speech … and keeps the infamous elephant from going extinct at Cafepress.

The T-Zone blog (URL http://cafeshoppe.com/TeeHee/)  keeps up with the latest news on the popular Print on Demand Companies with much of it's focus on  the POD King- Cafepress.  And we are still  searching for  the most unique GOP tees and buttons.
