(Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- CMN/P Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Kamran Lashari has said that development of sector D-12 is top priority. Addressing a high-level meeting held here Friday at CDA Headquarter, he said that contractors must inform about the development schedule so that people could start construction of their houses.
Project Director of sector D-12 informed that 50% electricity work has been completed and after completion of civil works, the internal work of the electricity would be started. He further said that the Authority has provided land for gird station in the said sector while IESCO has also issued demand notice, in this regard. Chairman CDA also briefed about the expansion and improvement of roads. He was told that over 40,000 vehicles daily use Shahrah-e-Kashmir so it was needed to expand.
He was told that 11 kilometer long Shahrah-e-Kashmir from G.T road to Peshawar Mor was consisting on four lines while one more line is added to it. Among these, two lines would be constructed of concrete that would be used by big and heavy vehicles while work on this project would start during the month of September, same year, he was told. The target of September 2010 has been set for completion of the project so that road would be completed before completion of New Islamabad Airport.
He was told that the project has been distributed among four contracts in order to complete it timely and development work must also be ensured. The construction of six bridges includes in expansion of the project. The said road would be a main source of transportation so the project has been designed in such a way that it could meet the demands of coming 25 years, he was briefed.
Chairman CDA directed all the project directors to report all the big development projects on weekly basis so that these could be completed within given timeframe.
