The 24-year-old striker will be signing autographs and chatting to fans at the special free event at the Jaguar Exhibition Hall at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday, July 27.
Some of his new team-mates from the first-team squad will also be there between 3.30pm and 5pm.
Supporters can take advantage of a special deal on the day to buy adult season tickets at an 11 per cent discount of £444.50 compared to the usual price of £499 which works out at £19.33 a match from a stand where the new shirt will be on sale as well.
Two season-tickets for the forthcoming campaign along with two signed footballs from the current Sky Blues squad are among the prizes on offer on the day with all the proceeds going towards helping survivors of May’s earthquake which devastated Sichuan.
A guitar signed by Coventry band The Enemy will also be up for grabs along with a cricket bat signed by former England wicket-keeper Alex Stewart, six day tickets for the Ricoh British Women’s Open at Sunningdale on August 3, a family ticket for four at Drayton Manor Park and an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast at the 71 Rooms & Silk Suites hotel at the Ricoh Arena.
Coventry City manager Chris Coleman, who will be signing autographs along with chairman Ray Ranson, said this was an ideal opportunity to meet the club’s newest recruit.
“Freddy attended the kit launch within hours of signing for the club but we know that many supporters were unable to get along to welcome him to the Sky Blues,” Coleman said.
“This will be the second time within a fortnight that Freddy will have met the fans which shows his commitment to the club, and the 125th anniversary event is a fantastic opportunity to wish him and the other players well for the new season.
“As well as celebrating the club’s 125th birthday, everyone who attends is also raising money for Oxfam’s Chinese earthquake appeal which is a really good cause.”
Families and music lovers can see Coventry’s Kombat Breakers perform at 4pm while up-and-coming bands from the region including richlife, Trailer, Haunted by Humans, King Hermit, Electric Dolls, Old Ricoh, Deride and Juliette Leon will be on stage from 2.30pm until 9pm.
The 1987 FA Cup open-top bus will also be situated in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall along with bouncy castles as organisers provide entertainment for all the family.
Ray Ranson added: “We have decided to make this a free event as a birthday present to our fans and to thank them for their support.
“There is a real sense of optimism in the city following Chris Coleman’s quality additions to his squad and this family day will add to the excitement levels as we build-up to the first game at home against Norwich on August 9.”
All donations on the day will be given to Oxfam to help survivors of the Chinese earthquake.
