WWW.HEARTSOFSALFORD.NET is accessible 24 hours per day and open to people of all ages. It is organised and moderated, from their homes by volunteer members all of whom are aged 50+and have heart conditions.
Heart disease is the biggest premature killer in the UK. The British Heart Foundation says “One in five men and one in six women die from heart disease. 2.6million are living with heart disease. Heart and circulatory disease cause more than a third of all deaths in the UK.
WWW.HEARTSOFSALFORD.NET is affiliated to and funded by the British Heart Foundation. It is also funded by the National Lottery Awards For All and Salford Neighbourhood Chest. It has the support of Salford Primary Care Trust and the City of Salford Community Telematics Service.
The official launch of Hearts of Salford will take place on the 30th July at the Broadwalk Training Centre. 51 Belvedere Rd. Salford. Manchester. M6 5EJ. There will be an informal rolling programme between 10am and 12:30pm.
