Recognized for their extraordinary service to the Chapter:
Cheryl Richardson, of Organizing Associates, was the recipient of the inaugural Key Leaders Award that was selected by the Chapter President. Cheryl was recognized for her outstanding work on the extremely successful Spring Seminar “Go and Grow” held in February 2008.
Chapter members chose outgoing President Scott Roewer, of Solutions by Scott, as the Professional Organizer of the Year. This award recognizes the chapter member who best promoted the organizing industry or chapter.
Janet Schiesl, of Basic Organization, chapter newsletter editor was chosen by her fellow chapter members as the Volunteer of the Year. This award is given to a chapter member who contributed significant time and effort to the chapter.
NAPO, celebrating 23 years as the Organizing Authority, is the premier national association dedicated to the field of organizing. With more than 4,000 members, NAPO’s purpose is to share information about this growing industry and to define quality standards for the organizing profession.
NAPO-WDC is one of the larger chapters of NAPO, with 140 active members. The Washington, DC Metro Chapter was chartered in 1994 to serve the Washington, DC metropolitan area including Maryland & Virginia.
