Film Director B. Riggs Chooses Robert Lucy Creative to Launch Directing Career with The Pawn

Film Director B. Riggs has chosen Robert Lucy Creative of Los Angeles for World Premiere of Short Film The Pawn and to Launch Directing Career

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jul 21, 2008 – LOS ANGELES—Film director B. Riggs has chosen Robert Lucy Creative, a Los Angeles marketing firm to handle both the world premiere of the short film “The Pawn” and launch her film directing career. B. Riggs met Robert Lucy Creative’s president Lovelace Lee III a few years ago and even read a few of his screenplays. “I thought he was a talented screenwriter and hoped we might work together,” she said. The two drifted apart as people do in Hollywood. Little did the director know that their paths were destined to cross again.
If this director is not shooting she’s researching. She reads everything. While researching debut novels at various libraries for a summer read B. Riggs came across a story about Daughter Denied the debut novel by Alretha Thomas. The film director was sold and later realized that the publicity she enjoyed was created by none other than Lovelace Lee III president of Robert Lucy Creative. The publicity even compelled her to order her own copy of the novel from the website www.daughterdenied.com.
“It’s funny how things work. When I saw how Robert Lucy Creative was handling Alretha Thomas and her novel Daughter Denied, “I knew I wanted that level of professionalism and commitment to launch my film directing career,” she said. “I just had to buy the book. I also dug out my organizer and looked up Mr. Lee’s number hoping it hadn’t changed.” Two days later the two talked. “I welcome the opportunity to work with B. Riggs, “said Lee. “She is serious and that’s how we’ll present this talent to Hollywood." After working under the tutelage of Doug Claybourne, Rob Cohen and Chuck Russell the passion for storytelling was birthed in B. Riggs. “Working with Winifred Hervey and Stan Lathan taught me to strive for excellence,” she said.
The world premiere of “The Pawn” a stylish, action spy film will be held at the end of August at a Los Angeles-area location. Hollywood will appreciate a true hypenate following in the footsteps of Quentin Tarantino, M. Night Shyamalan, and Robert Rodriguez. “She’s a powerhouse writer-director-editor,” said Lee. “Hollywood, brace yourself.”
