Around 100 guests enjoyed champagne and canapés in the gardens of the Legacy Rose and Crown Hotel in Harnham before being taken on a guided tour of its new features.
Each of the hotel’s 28 bedrooms have been redecorated, along with the reception area and Cathedral Suite meeting room.
Kevin Skeet, operations director for Legacy Hotels and Resorts, said: “We are thrilled with the quality of the work that has taken place and everyone at the hotel is delighted that the results are so impressive and really create a wow factor.
“The response from guests has been very positive and we are certain that the alterations will add to their enjoyment during their stay with us.
“The new furnishings and decorations have carefully been selected to compliment the 13th century building and its original features and the hotel is now a lot smarter but still full of character.
“It is just the first stage in our extensive plans to drive the hotel forward and firmly place it as one of the leading hotels in Salisbury.”
