A Murder In Trinity's Land End

Everybody laughed when Naylor first got the idea to convert the grungy barn into a rooming house but it beat living in a retirement home as far as he was concerned. For seventy-five years old man Naylor had a solid reputation as an old curmudgeon who never liked anyone to go near his property. So you can bet your bottom dollar that if he were alive today he would sure as hellfire resent the current package . . .

And so goes the beginning of the mystery novel WELCOME TO TRINITY'S LAND END: TOWN OF MURDER & DECEIT by emerging writer La-Tonia Denise Willis. Ms. Willis has decided to release the novel in chapter form as part of a web serial on her Wordpress blog Creativemultimediaartist Weblog.

Detective Raymond Litani is a policeman whose life is uprooted from the dangerous but familiar stomping grounds of inner city Baltimore when he is transferred to the fictional   picturesque New England township of Trinity's Land End. What he finds there is an old world steeped in colonial heritage with many secrets trying desperately to retain its Puritan roots.

Ironically it is the murder of the troubled Gypsy Patty Lowell that gives the detective a new lease on life. Born of Argentine, Indian and Middle Eastern ancestry Detective Litani has experienced his share of xenophobia before but nothing prepares him for the reality of what Patty Lowell lived through as a social outcast in her hometown.

When more murders follow and all trails lead to a wealthy industrialist and professional 'sexualist' the tenacious Detective Litani soon discovers the truth behind the myth of the perfect little hidden paradise.

In 2007 Ms. Willis completed a short film DARK MATER: When Dreams & Reality Clash that was awarded a grant by the City of Seattle, Mayor's Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs. In 2004 her stage play SYLLOGISM was produced off-Broadway in New York City at  Theatre-Studio Inc. and subsequently e-published at ProPlay.  Welcome to Trinity’s Land End:Town of Murder & Deceit is her first novel.
