Hirschmann Design Takes 10 Graphis Gold Awards
BOULDER, Colorado, U.S. -- July 15, 2008 -- Hirschmann Design of Boulder, CO, has received official word: ten submissions to the Graphis Logo Design 7 competition have been honored with Graphis Gold Awards.
Graphis, The International Journal of Visual Communication, is a compelling record of the most significant and influential communication work being produced today. In 2007, they introduced the Graphis Awards. This distinguished recognition is reserved to honor the outstanding work of graphic artists worldwide.
To receive one Graphis Award is noteworthy, yet Karl Hirschmann (owner of Hirschmann Design) is receiving accolades for 10 of his outstanding logo designs. "Graphis is a place that every designer goes to for insight and inspiration. It is a great honor to have my ideas exhibited with those of other creative professionals that I admire and respect."

Eight of Hirschmann's winning designs were created for Colorado based companies or organizations. Here is a list of the winners: AIGA Colorado literacy icon, Boulder Associates [concept], CaringFamily, Crocs Mambaz [concept], Hidden Rock Ranch, Loon Lake Investments, TruAd, Velo Coffee Roasters, What's Driving You?, and Vanderhoof Elementary Spelling Bee.
“My approach to designing a logo, is to distill the company or organization down to its essence.” Hirschmann explains, “I strive to create simple and memorable marks that communicate the unique quality of an organization, event, company or product.”
