High Bright XGA NVIS Compliant LCD Models for Military Applications from VertexLCD

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 14, 2008 – – VertexLCD Inc. a leading manufacturer and integrator of display enhancement solutions for military, avionics and ground mobile applications today added two new models to its line of XGA Sunlight Readable LCD/ High Brightness displays featuring Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compliant LED (light-emitting diode) backlighting system.
The 12.1-inch and 15.1-inch LCD NVIS-enabled models offer XGA (1024x768) resolution and brightness to 1000 nits for sunlight readability using addressable LED rails.  The LCDs toggle between different banks of LEDs to provide a seamless transition between day and night modes (1.7cd/m2).  These monitors are powerful sunlight readable displays that are developed to function in extreme ambient light conditions. They are equipped to withstand the severe effects of harsh environments typically encountered in outdoor environments, providing a better way to display an image both useful in the daytime and with mil/aero night-vision imaging systems (NVIS).
