Indesit Moon wins award

July 14, 2008 - PRLog -- Indesit has been awarded the 2007 Good Design Award for its washing machine, the Indesit Moon, by the Chicago Athenaeum's Museum of Architecture and Design.

The award recognises goods in a wide range of categories, however the Guigiaro-designed Moon took the accolade as winner of the Bathroom category.

Companies are recognised for their best new developments since 2005 with products selected which have improved the way people live and work as well as better the environment.

The panel of experts, which received over 400 submissions, chose the Moon, praising it as a new concept, high-performance washing machine with a striking design and strong personality.

Indesit's Moon has now collected a string of gongs for both its technological performance and design in the home, with a highlight being its Grand Prix de l'Innovation award in the design category.

The Moon comes with a range of features including a self-cleaning detergent dispenser, an automatic rinse control sensor and a 30-minute fast wash for cottons and synthetics.
