A possible military strike on Iran has created a world wide resurgence of interest in the subject of the Apocalypse, the Book of Revelation and Bible prophecy With the looming possibility of a military strike on Iran there is a growing interest on a global level driven by the Internet of the predictions of the Prophet Ezekiel in Chapter 38 of the Old Testament where it talks about a future invasion of Israel by Russia, Iran and an alliance of Middle Eastern nations
According to radio talk show host, and author Paul McGuire the world has not seen such an interest in Bible prophecy since the 1800’s when John Nelson Darby (1800-1882), a Plymouth Brethren minister.Darby came to believe in a future salvation and restoration of national Israel. At the time this was a radical idea because for centuries both the Catholic and Protestant Church taught that the Christian Church and replaced Israel. Unlike the Reformers, and Catholic theologians Darby saw a clear distinction between Israel and the church. Darby also came to believe in an “any moment” rapture of the church that was followed by Daniel’s Seventieth Week in which Israel would once again take center stage in God’s plan. After this period, Darby believed there would be a millennial kingdom where God would fulfill His unconditional promises to Abraham, and his descendants.”
McGuire continued,” Dispensationalist first took shape in the Brethren Movement in early nineteenth century Britain. The teachings of the Brethren had a broad impact on evangelical movement whhich led to an explosion of what came to be called The Bible Conference Movement. Beginning in the 1870s, various Bible conferences began to spring up in various parts of the United States. These conferences helped spread a growing interest in Bible prophecy. The Niagara conferences (1870—early 1900s) caused a global interest in the Bible prophecy."
Not since the 1800’s when large Bible prophecy conferences were held in New York City has there been such an interest in the subject of Bible prophecy. What New York was to the Bible prophecy movement in the 1800’s, Southern California, is the epicenter largest Bible prophecy conferences in the nation, and are being held in mega-churches throughout the Southern California region. KBRT radio, a Christian station, owned by Crawford Broadcasting Company, co-sponsored a “Strategic Trends Conference” with K-House Ministries at the mega church Calvary Chapel Chino Hills.
The conference featured speakers like bet-selling author Tim LaHaye of the “Left Behind” book series, syndicated radio talk show host, and author Paul McGuire, New York Times Best-Selling Author Joel Rosenberg, Israeli General Shimon Erem, Joe Farah of WorldNetDaily, Walled Shoebat former PLO terrorist, Bob Cornuke, Archelogist, Evangelist, Ray Comfort, and former high-tech CEO, and founder of K House Ministries Chuck Missler. Several thousand people turned out to hear non stop teaching on Israel, Bible prophecy, globalism. Ezekiel 38 which is the war of Gog & Magog. The latest discoveries in physics and how it proves the Bible, and the Book of Revelation.
Coming up August 1st another Bible prophecy conference will be held at the Calvary Chapel Chino Hills Church entitle “Apocalypse and Israel” with speakers like Bible prophecy expert Dr. David Hocking, radio talk show host and author Paul McGuire, author Dave Hunt, and Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills. Over 5,000 people are expected to pack the modern sanctuary of this Southern California mega-church, and then in February of 2009 the Calvary Chapel Chino Hills will hold another prophecy conference With Pastor Jack Hibbs, and Paul McGuire.
A strange development at these “prophecy conferences”
Paul McGuire a syndicated radio talk show host with KBRT radio has his guest many of the world’s political and spiritual leaders on its flagship program the nationally syndicated Paul McGuire Show, which is now Talk from the Heart with Paul McGuire. Guests such as former President Jimmy Carter, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Senator John McCain, Secretaries of Defense, Secretaries of State, Tim LaHaye, Joel Rosenberg, Chuck Smith pastor of the mega church Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, and founder of the Calvary Chapel movement with over 3,000 churches worldwide. Dr. Jack Hayford President of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel with thousand of churches across the globe, General Shimon Erem, prominent Rabbi’s, PLO leaders, the late White House Press Secretary Tony Snow have all been interviewed by Paul McGuire on Israel the Middle East, and even Bible prophecy.
Paul McGuire who is the author 15 books and a professor at the King’s College & Seminary spoke at an Autumn Leadership Conference at the King’s College & Seminary where thousands of pastors from around the nation gathered to hear about Israel and Bible prophecy. KBRT also broadcasted live at the Los Angeles Forum for an event sponsored by the Israel Christian Nexus celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Israel and brought in hundreds of leading Jewish leaders, Rabbis, governmental officials from Israel, and notable Christian leaders. McGuire does not just invite guests who may agree with him, he has had Rick Warren on who created quite a bit of controversy n the Evangelical movement by visiting Syria, and Barack Obama is expected to join him as a guest in the next few weeks.
