Jul 13, 2008 – REVIEW:
Our family decided to load up and head out for dinner this past Saturday evening. On our way to a local burger spot, we decided to give Roi's BBQ a try. We walked inside and I immediatly said to my husband "this is totally not what I expected". Row after row of picnic tables were pushed together. The hostess spent more than three minutes explaining their specials, their soup and trying to figure out who was going to wait on us. Our waitress was nice, she took our drink orders and came back within a few mintues with our drinks.
During this few minutes we looked over the menu. I noticed our fork and knife was plastic, our napkin was paper and the few people sitting around us were eating off plastic plates. When I looked down at my menu, I was appaled at the prices. DInner were $12 - $18. Their three-rib platter was $8.99. WOW. Our drinks came in plastic cups and that was the last straw for us (no pun intended). I walked up to the register and told the woman behind the counter I wanted to pay for our two sweet teas and one kids coke. The total for just our drink... $5.89. Again - WOW!
Maybe we have come to expect more for our dollar, now that things are becoming so expensive. We don't mind paper and plastic, however not if the price of the meal is $20 or more when you add in the drink.
