Poway, CA (June 2, 2008) – According to the US News & World Report, a cosmetology career is one of 2008’s “best careers for a changing job landscape.” On Monday, June 2, The Poway Academy of Hair Design will receive the 2008 “School of the Year Award” by national cosmetology publisher, MODERN SALON Media, for pioneering five-star standards in beauty education that helped make US News & World Report take notice. The award ceremony will feature live demonstrations and tours of the recent $2.5 million renovation and will take place from 2 – 4 pm at 13266 Poway Road, Poway, CA 92064.

Students from the school’s Master Artistic Team are featured on the cover of the Spring issue of the student and recent graduate magazine, First Chair, and took part in the photo shoot by creating three distinct hairstyles on models.
