Forecastle is proud to announce the line-ups and venues for the festival’s official Kick-Off and After-Parties. Headlined by a diverse group of regional / national DJs and bands, the nightly events will take place at multiple venues throughout the City of Louisville, July 24th – 26th.
The 2008 kick-off party will take place Thursday, July 24th on the rooftop of Glassworks. Sponsored by Ohio Valley Creative Energy, the events feature performances from Lucky Pineapple, The Fervor, DJs Matt Anthony & Woodrow on the Radio, along with Glass Artist McKinley Moore and Fire Spinning by Phoenix Collective. Beverages from BBC, Cumberlands, and Brownings will be served, with all proceeds benefiting Ohio Valley Creative Energy ~ a non-profit organization founded to provide a sustainable, heat intensive multi-arts facility for glass, clay, and metal artists.
The 2008 after-parties will take place Friday, July 25th – Saturday, July 26th at multiple venues throughout the city, including American Turners and The Forecastle Fox Den. Performers include DJ 2nd Nature, Miles Meada, Tryptamine, Kentucky Nightmare, Jesse Jamz, Jon Doe, Ferdinand Fox, and many more.

Tickets for the 7th annual Forecastle Festival, July 25th – 27th at the Riverfront Belvedere, are available via TicketWeb, Ticketmaster, and select independent record stores, including ear X-tacy Records in Louisville, CD Central in Lexington, Grimey’s in Nashville, Landlocked Records in Bloomington, Indy CD & Vinyl in Indianapolis, Euclid Records in St. Louis, and Shake-It Records in Cincinnati. Advanced tickets range from $15 – 20 per day, day of show $18 – 23. Two-day and three-day passes are available, as well as a limited number of VIP passes at $50 a day.
