Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel Wine Dinner at Montaluce's Ristorante Le Vigne

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 10, 2008 – Montaluce Estate and Vineyards is pleased to announce that it will host a special wine dinner on Saturday, July 19 featuring the wines of California's famed Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel wineries. Chef Steve Hewins of Ristorante Le Vigne will prepare a seasonally inspired, five-course menu to accompany the assortment of award-winning vintages. The evenings' wines will include: Nickel & Nickel Chardonnay ‘Searby Vineyard,’ Russian River Valley; Far Niente Chardonnay, Napa Valley; Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley; Nickel & Nickel Syrah ‘Dyer Vineyard,’ Carneros and Dolce, a Sauternes-style dessert wine with the final course.

Atlanta's own Michel O'Connor, Fine Wine Consultant with Empire Distributors will be on hand to discuss each of the wines and offer history and winemaking details about the Far Niente family of wines, of which Nickel & Nickel and Dolce are a part. A bed and breakfast overnight package is also available for this event with nearby Lily Creek Lodge for $325. The Lily Creek overnight package includes deluxe accommodations for one night (double occupancy), the wine dinner for two at Le Vigne and transportation to and from Montaluce for the dinner.
