Basonas Construction Corp., a New York-based building restoration and construction company, is pleased to announce the completion of exterior restoration work on the 6-floor structure located at 101 West 85th Street. Implementing the latest restoration technology, the project has helped preserve the beautiful brownstone façade that has defined the building since its inception.
“Our attention to detail on the 85th Street property has helped restore the building’s architectural style of the past,” said Michael Brion, vice president of Basonas Construction Corporation.

Located one block from Manhattan’s Central Park, the West 85th Street building is an apartment complex that is part of a group of properties in New York City known as “pre-war” structures, buildings built prior to World War II that are marked by thick walls and high ceilings.
Basonas Construction Corp. focused primarily on the building’s brownstone exterior, which involved the restoration of its original appearance and condition.
In addition to the recent West 85th Street effort, Basonas Construction Corp. is also working on several other large projects, including restoration work on three historic Park Avenue buildings located at 898 Park Avenue, 1150 Park Avenue and 1225 Park Avenue. Additionally, work in underway on three Fifth Avenue buildings located at 1165 5TH, 880 5TH and 33 5TH, as well as one Madison Avenue building located at 30 East 65th.
