“I wanted a place where you could find out what’s going on in DC that pertains to green businesses, services, and environmental initiatives. When I looked around online in late 2007, I couldn’t find anything that fit the bill, so I decided to create a blog myself,” says Sacha Cohen, the site's founder.
Launched in 2008, Going Green DC has covered everything from local restaurants that source sustainable seafood and organic produce to environmentally friendly lodging options at some of the city’s most popular hotels.
