FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jul 08, 2008 – Since launching its new origami website last month, Fighter Plane Origami has been
interacting with its customers to understand what they wish and what paper airplanes they would like to create. Among the respondents, the F-16 Fighter Falcon came out tops.

After the survey, Fighter Plane Origami wasted no time to send its developers back to its studio to design a paper airplane that models after the real F-16. One difficult aspect during the design stage is to find a way to project the missile launchers under the wings of the F-16.  Not only must these launchers be firm, they have to look real. After intensive experiments, the JKF-16 Fighter Falcon model was born.

Another group of designers were inspired by the F-16. With many fighter plane pictures in front of them, this group toyed and improvised the JKF-16 folding method to have a double tail. With some tricky steps, it started to resemble the MiG-31 Foxhound. Further tuning on the folding steps and the JKMiG-31 was born.  It is interesting to note that at times, models are created by nature of “accidental folds” as what the JKMiG-31 has shown.

Within a week, 2 new models,  JKF-16 Fighter Falcon and the JKMiG-31 Foxhound were born. Instructional videos in folding these 2 novel paper airplanes are also developed and origami enthusiast will be in for an enjoyable time.

John, our Chief Origami Designer has this to say,"Many origami hobbyist may not realize this, but learning to fold origami is an educational process and it gives the learner a sense of calm. During the folding process, the mind does not wonder and concentrates its task on hand thereby producing a therapeutic effect. "

Visitors can try out another demo sample on how to make paper plane JKF-188 Jet Plane at http://www.FighterPlaneOrigami.com   In fact, when this demo video was submitted to video sharing site Metacafe, it receives more than 16000 views within a week.

To bring out the sturdiness of these paper airplanes, paper specifications with at least  120 gsm is recommended.

On its road map, FPO will continually challenge itself to make more fighter planes that look like the real deal. Future models will include Raptor 22,  F-18 Hornet and the likes
