jml villas.com has introduced new advertising prices. As one of the early entrants into the Holiday Home marketing business with www.euro-rentavilla.com and www.euro-rentals.com back in 2001they had up till recently been charging a very low annual price of £11.75 including VAT. As the general public becomes suspicious of either Free or low cost advertising the management has decided to review the annual price.
Research in June 2008 found that other major advertisers are charging from £85 to £155 a year and so a new fee of £50 per year including VAT has been established.
Philip Suter of jmlvillas.com said “we normally allow advertisers to let their advertisement run on for much longer than a year and just request they keep their details up to date”
One of the problems with on line advertising is that property owners will gladly pay large amounts to specialist magazines and newspapers and those ads either last a week, a month or a couple of months. They can physically”touch the publication”
jmlvillas.com has now been around many years and jml Property Services that runs the site has an additional nine sites driving traffic in and also specialising on specific countries. It covers holiday home properties in over 31 countries.
Philip Suter went onto say “we occasionally have owners emailing us to say we are not receiving the enquiries, mostly when we trace their property their descriptions that have added are poor, or we find had they looked at the statistics they would have seen that instead of using the jmlvillas.com response form, an applicant has gone straight to the advertiser’s own website to make contact”
As a registered advertiser, you can access information about how often the property details viewed, number of email enquiries and the number of redirected enquiries to the advertiser’s own web site. The advertiser can also change details and prices whenever they want and update their six photos.
Philip went onto say “with an economic downturn on the horizon, it will mean that holiday home owners must ensure full occupancy. Many of these have high mortgages and it will mean they have to be very competitive in their accommodation charges and not just rely on expensive newspaper and magazine advertising, but to take more advantage of the Internet.”
