Beauty For Books: Diamond Bridal Gallery Supports Community Library

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 04, 2008 – GRANITE BAY, CA (June 26, 2008) – School’s out for summer, but thanks to support from local boutiques and the efforts of the Friends of the Granite Bay Library, lots of books are out, too. The summer reading program of the Granite Bay Library is going strong after the auxiliary’s 18th Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon held on May 1, 2008 at the Granite Bay Country Club helped raise more than $20,000 for library programs. Participating in the event for the first time was Diamond Bridal Gallery. The boutique’s unique wedding fashions brought a new level of elegance to the afternoon—just what event organizers were looking for.

“The luncheon has been attracting more attendees year after year,” said Seniya Petra, manager of Diamond Bridal Gallery. “The organizers wanted to keep it that way by adding more elaborate fashions. We were delighted that they asked us to include some of our most beautiful gowns.”

As the exclusive retailer of designer Oksana Couture, Diamond Bridal Gallery offered fashion show attendees a glimpse of the daring and breath-taking creations of the high-end Eastern European bridal line. In addition to unique wedding gowns, Diamond Bridal Gallery also displayed mother-of-the-bride and flower girl fashions and evening wear on the runway.

Proceeds from the fashion show and luncheon supported the Granite Bay Library, funding children’s programs for summer and preschool reading, as well as updating the library’s computers.

“Books open new worlds for children,” added Petra . “We’re so proud to help raise money for the children’s programming at our library.”
