PRLog (Press Release)Jul 02, 2008 – Welcome to the Wonderful World of Word Balloons and Speech Bubbles!

SuperLame.com has just launched it’s public Beta. What is SuperLame!? Well, I’m glad you asked. You may have heard the saying, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. So, if a picture alone is worth that much, how about a picture that actually has words too? We’re betting more than a thousand.

Enter, SuperLame.com and our Comic Balloon Engine. It’s a simple web tool that gives users the power to easily, quickly, and freely add speech bubbles, word balloons, thought bubbles, whatever you want to call them, to your pictures.

The entire app was created within eight days using Adobe's Flash CS3 trial version. Since it's creation, we have added a number of features in order to improve the user experience. One of the main goals when creating the app was to make it as easy and user friendly as possible. We also wanted to create something that was fun and enjoyable to use, thus many of the features have fun, bubbly animations that go with them.

One of the features, or lack of, you may first notice, is that there is no signup process. SuperLame! does not require any signup, email, or anything to use the tool. All a visitor has to do is start using the tool without ever signing up or giving any personal data. That makes the SuperLame! web tool much easier and faster than any of the competition.

Among other notable features is the ability to place speech bubbles outside of the bounds of your picture. To use the app you simply upload a picture from your hard drive, add a word balloon, then you can place that balloon anywhere on the page. If you want to place it outside the boundaries of your picture, SuperLame! automatically scales to fit everything inside your final picture.

So what can you do once you've made a word balloon picture? One of the best things about SuperLame! as opposed to some of the competition is that you can save the picture as a JPEG direct to your hard drive. That way you can use it anywhere, not just places online where you can embed code. You also have the option of emailing your final picture to a friend. All you have to do is enter your email address (from) and your friends email address (to), done.

Currently there are no user profiles and logins for saving your picures on SuperLame! We also don't store your saved pictures for more than 24 hours. SuperLame! is currently only a passive web technology. However, there are plans for the future of SuperLame! for expanding into member profiles with limited picture storage and sharing.

SuperLame! is a very new online web tool and we hope to expand it's feature set as we grow. Early buzz about SuperLame! has already praised it as a very fun, easy, and painless experience. Check it out at Superlame.com and enjoy.
