July 2, 2008 - PRLog -- Norwegian Star of Stage, TV & Film heads for The London Palladium. (Media Invited)

Corey Conradi (Kaare Conradi) officially sung the pre-release launch of Robbie Williams ‘Swing When Your Winning’ album in Norway, was best man at the Norwegian Royal Wedding and recently completed his latest major acting role opposite Lauren Bacall, Brian Cox and James Fox in 'Wide Blue Yonder'. Corey joins the UK’s top jazz & swing Big Band as star vocalist for the annual Sunday Night Swing Session at The London Palladium on August 3rd!

Known as Kaare Conradi in his native Norway, Corey is a household name with an array of Stage, TV, Film & Music credits. For the official release concert of Robbie Williams album, ‘Swing When You're Winning’, Corey proved to all present that he sings these types of songs brilliantly. As a follow-up, he did a series of  jazz/big-band concerts where he performed undying classics such as ‘The Best of Everything’, ‘Summer Wind’, ‘My Kind of Town’, ‘Let's Face The Music and Dance’, ‘My Way’ and the unforgettable ‘New York, New York’.

Corey’s biography and a wide range of links can be accessed at http://www.debbiecurtis.co.uk/id167.html (Full Press Kit and Media Invitation detailed lower down).

The Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band is the UK’s top Jazz & Swing Big Band. They made UK history and received a standing ovation last summer when they re-launched Sunday Night Swing Sessions at the London Palladium after nearly sixty years in the absence! (Star guest that night was John Miller, nephew of the great Glenn Miller)!

The Mistress of Swing, as Debbie is affectionately known, has been turning the Big Band Jazz & Swing scene around with shows that include her own dance and re-enactment troupe ‘Hobsons Choice’, plus numerous guest singers. Debbie is determined to take Swing into the future with an exciting concert that thinks it’s a show. Debbie calls it “Putting the BIG back in Band” and is attracting new and very importantly younger audiences to the music!

The 16 strong band is made up from the cream of UK musicians, many of whom regularly perform with Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey, Jamiroquai, Michael Buble, Kylie, Jamie Cullum and Robbie Williams to name but a few. (Musicians names lower down)!

Myspace Discovery Iain Ewing!
Scottish vocalist, Iain Ewing, who Debbie discovered on MySpace and then literally threw in at the deep end by pulling him out of the Palladium audience to sing, has since become a regular with the band and this year will officially be a part of the show!

The dancers, aged from just 16 add to the entertainment with swing, jive and lindy hop plus a little humour from re-enactor Spiv characters ‘Mickey the Fish’ and ‘Viv the Spiv’

The Blues Brothers
A ‘Jake & Elwood’ Blues Brother feature is also planned. Their Dodge Bluesmobile that was used in the film has recently been a regular site around London streets, complete with roof loud hailer system roped on top! This world famous car has been advertising the Palladium show, with Debbie at the PA microphone and Elwood (Richard Owen) at the wheel. It attracts an amazing response from the public, including bows and even ‘on the knees worship’ and can be made available for media photocalls with Debbie if required. In hot pursuit, Debbie’s own 1938 Austin Police Car has been tailing the Bluesmobile on its travels with 40’s Policeman re-enactor John Brighton at the wheel!

Musically, The Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band covers everything from then until now! In The Mood to Hawaii Five O, Tuxedo Junction to the Austin Powers Theme (Soul Bosanova) Minnie the Moocher to The Pink Panther and much more, with a set put together from a music library now in excess of 9000 titles!

This is a show for all age groups!
