More of the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival to love this summer.

The Orlando Hispanic Film Festival (OHFF), as part of its commitment to education and the filmmaking community, announces their July schedule of events.

PRLog (Press Release)Jul 01, 2008 – The Orlando Hispanic Film Festival (OHFF), as part of its commitment to education and the filmmaking community, announces their July schedule of events.  This Month’s Orange County Library System (OCLS) FREE workshops will be Wednesdays July 9th and July 23rd, 2008 at 7PM.  Workshops will be held at Orlando Public Library and is located at 101 N. Central Blvd. Orlando, FL 32801. July workshops are dedicated to highlight local film schools. Valencia Community College’ s film program director, Ralph Clemente will showcase examples of student film projects on the library’s big screen and speak about their film school Wednesday July 9.  July 23rd OHFF and OCLS will also host Full Sail University as they screen student shorts and offer information about their film and music programs.

The OHFF is also sponsoring the OCLS “Stay Tuned” Teen Film Festival, which runs through July 31, 2008. Teens can create a commercial for a library program, video game, book or movie and submit to win prizes and a chance to be seen on the big screen at the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival Oct 10-12.  Submissions are FREE. Entertainment and education industry professionals will judge all festival submissions. Teen film submissions will be viewed at the Orlando Public Library Thursday, August 7, 2008 7PM. The winner will be announced following the screenings.

Finally, as a part of the “3rd Wednesdays Indie Film Summer Series”, OHFF will be screening another 2007 audience favorite, “Revolucion en el Infierno”.  The film is based on facts of the massacre at Ponce, Puerto Rico March 21st, 1937.  Screening will take place Wednesday July 16, 2008 7PM at the Premiere Cinemas 14 in the Orlando Fashion Square, 3201 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando FL. 32803. Tickets are $8.00 and $6.00 for students and seniors.
