The Mills House Charleston, South Carolina Hotel regularly hosts cast and crew from “Army Wives”, which is filmed in town. “Army Wives” is an hour-long drama produced for the Lifetime Network based on the book originally titled “Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Military Marriage” by Tanya Biank. It follows the story of four wives of military personnel stationed at the fictitious Fort Marshall in Charleston. While the show is fiction, it has been acclaimed for honoring the real-life stories present in the book. “Army Wives” enjoyed the largest series premier in the history of the Lifetime Network and began its second season on June 8, 2008.
