FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Jun 30, 2008 – Pittsburgh, PA -Microsoft Live Small Business released a survey in June 2008 that found that 61% of female respondents who were small-business owners say they do no online marketing, and nearly 40% say they don’t have a Web site. These women attended Microsoft’s Vision to Venture conference held recently in five U.S. cities.
This survey, mentioned in The Wall Street Journal online blog “Independent Street” which reports on news, trends, tidbits and tools for and about entrepreneurs, also posed this question by WSJ journalist Wendy Bounds: “Certainly plenty of female business owners navigate the Web as deftly as their male counterparts. But the survey provides food for thought about women’s use of technology today in business. Do women shy from it or not have time to learn its intricacies more than men?” “There are just too many online tools out there that are set up for even the most technically challenged user to implement in their business marketing, and the best thing is that most of these tools are free to use,” says Womack. All attendees at this four-hour seminar will receive supplemental resources, including detailed Internet success case studies and an index of web services that can prepare them for Internet marketing success, along with an e-book by the 2 Tech Divas entitled “199 Online Tools That Will Empower You and Your Business.” In addition, four women entrepreneurs in the audience will be selected to receive a free digital coaching session during the seminar. A catered lunch will be provided. The seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn Parkway East on July 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To place reservations or to get more information, please call 412-816-1274 or go to www.onlinegoldmineseminar.com.
