Jun. 27, 2008 - James E Wiiliams and his sister Kathy Harris opened the Taste of Soul Restaurant in Orwell, Ohio on April 1, 2008. Although it has only been a short time their family style of cooking has taken on a life of its own. People come from across the state line to taste the signature dish of Uncle James' Award Winning BBQ Ribs. The Taste of Soul offers a good menu selection of food. Its menu is just a good "old fashioned" menu with selections for everyone including the kids. The Taste of Soul has a Childrens Menu included it is offerings. Eveything is prepared on site. The Taste of Soul restaurant is not fast food, but it is good service, good food, good prices, and a friendly atmosphere. It is a family restaurant.
James is a veteran of the AIr Force, and his sister Kathy, is the Pastor of a local church. The Taste of Soul is located in Northeast Ohio in a section of the state where tourism is high due to the historical museums and art galleries in the local community and surrounding areas.
The Taste of Soul hours are Monday-Tuesday-
Wednesday: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and THursday-Friday-
Saturday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. There are special hours for the holidays.
The Taste of Soul Restaurant is worth the trip if you are traveling anywhere in Ohio.
