The Sustainable North Carolina Awards honor organizations that have demonstrated success in integrating social responsibility and environmental stewardship. This year’s expanded must-attend event will feature a sustainable business forum, tradeshow, poster session, dinner banquet and one of the world’s most influential business strategists. This prestigious event attracts a wide variety of leaders from business, government, non-profits and academia from across the state.
Peter Senge, author of the Fifth Discipline and founder of the Society for Organizational Learning, will be the keynote speaker. Senge has worked with leaders in business, education, health care and government around the world, translating the abstract ideas of systems theory into tools to create economic and organizational change. Says Senge, “Our real future lies in building sustainable enterprises and an economic reality that connects industry, society and the environment.”
