It is no secret that TV, iPods, video games, and the internet have revolutionized the toy industry for children. These days it’s almost impossible to find kids who haven’t had a massive exposure to the internet or T.V. in one form or another. Kids today spend countless hours either surfing the web or watching the T.V.

One popular new pastime for kids is the video sharing site youtube. On this site kids can watch videos of practically anything. From world events to funny clips, the site has it all. A popular and growing trend among these young people is to upload and shoot their own videos for submission to the site. Due to its ease of use and popularity, many children today enjoy loading their own videos for their friends and family to watch again and again.

This idea has caught the attention of many producers of ‘traditional’ products for kids. One specific example of this is Craig Ebel and his product: Illustory.

Illustory lacks the electronics of a modern toy or activity for children. It is a book which children can illustrate and make themselves. After submission to Craig’s site (http://www.creatively-ever-after.com/ ) kids get the Illustory create your own book keepsake in the mail.

Times are tough for Illustory because it is competing against so many more modern and computer based products or services. However, Craig has found a new way to make Illustory successful and gain exposure.

His new promotional offering allows for Illustory educational toys for a kid to be uploaded online at youtube for viewing on the internet. This allows kids to show off their book to friends or family members who may live far away. It is a great product offering and an original and fun way for kids to experience their Illustroy book again and again.

Hopefully this new idea will be a jumpstart for other small markets like Craig’s, who wish to gain more exposure for their traditional products in the modern era. Only time will measure the success of this new illustory offering, but in any even the future looks bright for illustory and Craig Ebel.

The Illustory book keepsake was invented 12 years ago by Craig Ebel, after he saw a book his daughter brought home from school bound with yarn. Since the early 1990s, the illustory book kit (which comes hard bound-no yarn!) has been available in stores like Wal-mart, Toys r Us and target. In that time, hundreds of thousands of illustory book keepsakes have been sold. This year we will have sold over 1 million Illustories. Given the growth of the Internet, the Illustory keepsake has been available online on multiple sites for years. Creatively Ever After is now offering you the opportunity to purchase this creative toy from the inventor himself.
