“We are extremely happy and excited to have Miss Khitruk as our guest and perform with us in concert,” said Paul Manz, Music Director and Conductor of the POPS. “I can assure all who are lucky enough to get tickets, that they will be hearing one of the finest young violinists in the world. Her performance will be phenomenal and it will truly be, an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see and hear a musician of her caliber.” he added.
The 60-piece orchestra is slated to play a selection of works, all centered on the Russian theme. The 1812 Overture and Violin Concerto, which will feature Anastasia, were composed by Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky, one of Russia’s prolific and most well-known composers. Audience members can also look forward to music from Fiddler on the Roof, James Bond: 007, and Misty, featuring clarinetist, Vito Platamone.
“Everyone will delight in the musical artistry of our POPS Symphony orchestra and the beautiful and talented Anastasia Khitruk.” Said Paul Baskin, President of the POPS. “We have had wonderful season ticket promotions in place since February and ticket sales have been great. We are anticipating a sell-out concert once word really gets out that about our fabulous program and that we have Anastasia as our guest performer.” He noted.
