This Thursday, hear music from the Phyllies Intruders, a four-man vocal group from Philadelphia. The group, formed in 1997, is composed of the lone, original member and lead singer Tony Strong, joined by Eugene Johnson, Preston Stroman and Renardo Haynes. The group has performed nationwide singing hits such as “I’ll Always Love My Mama”, “Cowboys to Girls” and “I Wanna Know Your Name”.

Music on the Mall is free to the public. The performances will be held every Thursday evening throughout the summer on the lawn of the Independence Visitor Center (Market Street between 5th & 6th Streets) . Guests will enjoy the sounds of diverse live artists, bands and multi-cultural entertainers who will perform a variety of music genres such as oldies, jazz, blues, Motown, American classic, soft rock and reggae; as well as take in the beauty of America’s most historic square mile – including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Constitution Hall, and the Independence National Historical Park. Also, the “Music on the Mall” Summer Concerts will allow families to spend a few hours together, and enjoy the summer weather!
