Snow Valley, the e-commerce services provider, will host a breakfast briefing on Thursday 3rd July on the subject of Yahoo!’s acquisition of IndexTools’ web analytics software.
Speaking at the event will be Dennis Mortensen, Director of Data Insights at Yahoo!, and Jill Culbertson, Head of Online Marketing & Analytics at Snow Valley.
The Yahoo!/IndexTools deal has been described as a ‘permanent game changer’ for the analytics market. IndexTools has previously been described as offering 80% of the functionality of Omniture for a fraction of the cost. Yahoo! intends to make IndexTools available for free, thus shaking up the market for Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Omniture, and other providers of web analytics services.
Snow Valley is the UK’s top reseller of IndexTools and many of the retailers on Snow Valley’s e-commerce platform are using the service as their main web analytics package.
At the briefing e-commerce managers and online marketing manager will find out:
• How Index Tools compares to Google Analytics
• How organisations can get access to Index Tools now
• How to get the most from Index Tools
Jill Culbertson said, “We’re delighted to have Dennis Mortensen at our event, as this will be the first time that Yahoo! has spoken publically about the future for IndexTools. Snow Valley has been using IndexTools for many years and we’ll be able to give e-commerce managers a head start on how it could be useful to their business.”
The briefing takes place 8.30-10.30 on Thursday 3rd July in central London and is free of charge to e-commerce managers and online marketing managers. Delegates should register at http://www.snowvalley.com/
