Boca Raton - Todd Maki had qualified to run for District 87’s Florida House seat. Having lived in the area of District 87 for almost two decades, Todd believes he has a unique knowledge of the issues facing our community. Maki has been long committed to the important issues facing Florida and believes that together we can fix a government that is failing its people. According to Maki, “I believe that through the improvement of education and strengthening of environmental protection, our state can again be the economic envy of our country and a renewed model for the world.”

Todd Maki is currently Program Chair for a 2008 program modeled after Leadership Boca with Palm Beach Community College. Future Leadership Boca 2008 is presented in partnership with the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. Todd Maki has also served the community as Student Trustee at Palm Beach Community College, as Founding Chairman of the Christian Leadership Association, and as a mentor in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Mentorship Program. In 2004, he received the Provost Award for Distinguished Service. Maki continues to serve the community as Aquatic Supervisor at the Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton.
Todd Maki's passion for state government was kindled while attending Florida State University in Tallahassee. During his stint in Tallahassee, he worked in the Florida Senate for State Senator Dave Aronberg and former State Senator and current United States Representative Ron Klein.
Florida House District 87 includes parts of Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Briny Breezes, Deerfield Beach, Delray Beach, Village of Golf, Gulf Stream, Highland Beach, Hypoluxo, Lantana, Manalapan, and Ocean Ridge.
