Town And Country Foods Announces Go Green Campaign

Kirby Patterson, Vice-President of Town & Country Foods Inc. recently rolled out a “Go Green” campaign that includes a free weeks worth of food for every qualified potential customer.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jun 23, 2008 – The campaign hi-lights the environmental benefits of the Town & Country System.  Mr. Patterson said “a little understood benefit of our home food service is the uniquely positive impact our system has on the environment.”

Mr. Patterson said, “for example if 10,000 of our customers reduced the number of times they went to the grocery store by only 2 trips per month using the T&C Home Food system, they would reduce the number of trips to the grocery store by 240,000 trips per year. If each trip was approximately 10 miles round trip at an average of 20 miles per gallon of gasoline 120,000 gallons would be saved.  If each gallon of gasoline emits approximately 8.79 kg of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would be reduced by approximately 1,053,600kg.”

“The T&C Home Food System also decreases waste by reducing product packaging.  Instead of using styrofoam containers as well as plastic to package meat products, Town & Country only uses just plastic.  This means that if 10,000 customers purchased 150 pounds of meat in a year through the T& C Home Food system, packaging waste would be reduced by approximately 1, 5 million Styrofoam containers.  What this adds up to is better care for the environment and a better way to feed your family,” concluded Mr. Patterson.

Mr. Patterson announced “that a free weeks worth of food would be given to every qualified potential customer, as a way of providing a review of our menus and pricing.”  To arrange for a food consultant to stop by with your free weeks worth of food and to review our menus and pricing please call 1-800-651-Food ext 590.
