According to the most recent census data, more than 54 million people in the
United States are living with a disability. That is one in every five people. Of that number, four million are children ages 6 to 14 and eleven million people ages 6 or older need personal assistance with an everyday activity.

Therese Carrier established The Josiah Foundation in honor of her brother, who was wheelchair-bound. He passed away in 2004. “Our mission,” she says, “is to help individuals with a disability in various capacities such as education, healthcare, community living and recreational opportunities.”
The Foundation is an IRS qualified section 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All charitable donations are tax deductible.
