DJ Jahsonic hosts "Decipher" on WPFW 89.3
Liberated Muse Productions (LMP) co-founders Maceo Thomas and Khadijah Ali-Coleman announced yesterday during an on-air interview that DJ Jahsonic is scheduled to host the Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest which will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2008. DJ Jahsonic is one of the hottest DJ's on the east coast and co-hosts the radio show "Decipher" which airs Thursday evenings at 10pm on Pacifica radio's WPFW 89.3.
LMP is organizing this year's Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest which will take place in Washington DC on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 11am-8pm. The festival will highlight hip-hop and soul acts from the Washington DC metropolitan area while featuring acts from across the continent. Featured performers include rappers Substantial, Cool Cee Brown and Gods'Illa. Soul-singer Rogiers will also make a special appearance.
The festival uniquely showcases musical artists while creating a venue for Washington D.C.-based small businesses and nonprofits to connect with their intended audiences. The Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest will be held in the Marvin Gaye Park which was renamed recently in honor of soul-singng legend Marvin Gaye who grew up in the Deanwood community in Washington D.C.
