TXMPA Announces Rio Grande Valley Regional Caucus

The Texas Motion Picture Alliance announces upcoming elections for the Rio Grande Valley Region.

Members of the Rio Grande Valley Region of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance (TXMPA) will choose new individuals to represent them at their Regional Caucus.

Wednesday, June 25, 2008
4:00 – 5:30 PM

DETAILS:
The purpose of the meeting is to update attendees on the status of both the local and statewide motion picture industry; to elect a Regional Representative to serve on the statewide TXMPA board (the term is two years); to elect a Regional Alternate, who can fill-in for the Regional Representative when they are not available; to nominate candidates for the three open At-Large positions on the TXMPA board, which will be voted on at TXMPA’s annual Statewide Meeting on June 28 (each region may be represented by a maximum of four board members, excluding Permanent Seats); and to sign up new members.

TXMPA’s South Central Regional Representative, Nikki Young, will be in attendance, along with fellow board member Drew Mayer-Oakes, Director of the San Antonio Film Commission.

PRICES:
There is no cost to attend the meeting; however, only dues-paying members can vote or run for open positions.  A Full membership, with voting privileges, costs only $50 per year.
