This weekend on June 20th & 21st the Green Mountain Opera Festival's fully staged and costumed production of La Traviata, starring world renowned opera performers and emerging artists, graces the nearby beautifully restored Barre Opera House stage.
On Saturday June 28th the hills are alive with the sounds of music when the Vermont Symphony Orchestra comes to the beautiful slopes of Lincoln Peak at Sugarbush Resort. From "boy meets girl" in Oklahoma to hot-blooded Carmen to the comic mismatching of A Midsummer Night's Dream, love conquers all in this program devoted to affairs of the heart. The performance concludes with a magnificent fireworks display accompanying Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
The Warren 4th of July Parade celebrates, for the 60th consecutive year, Independence Day with a wild, wacky, and wickedly fun parade, street dance, and family festivities!
On July 11th & 12th Scottish Highland Games will be held in the Mad River Valley, showcasing both professional and amateur contestants, bedecked in their kilts, performing the traditional events such as throwing the stone and tossing the caber and bringing a touch of Scotland to the Valley.
