FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
Jun 18, 2008 – http://www.NaturePhotographywithaPurpose.com has a short video on an overview of how global warming works. They developed this short video and short article to help people understand that the planet has and continues to have global warming. This is a natural occurrence long before the industrial revolution. The controversy begins when scientist show that an excess of these gases, contributed by man and industrialization, can have an adverse effect. The video does not address these issues. It is a video and article that shows the basics of how global warming works and how much outside the normal levels of these gases we now have.
The video at http://www.NaturePhotographywithaPurpose.com starts off with the earth’s orbit around the sun. The earth’s orbit varies from near circular to elliptical, glacier to inter glacier periods. The video also shows how the earth’s axis is not straight up and down but is tilted at an angle towards the sun. This angle also varies causing less severe or more severe seasons. The video then goes into the different layers of the atmosphere. The layers and the gases that do not absorb radiation are briefly discussed. The interesting and most fascinating part of the video is when Nature Photography with a Purpose talks about the gases that do absorb radiation. What the levels of these gases were like in the past, how these levels were determined (ice cores), and what the levels of these gases are now. The video can be viewed at http://www.naturephotographywithapurpose.com under nature info and then under articles. The article on Global Warming is where the video can be found. The video can also be found on YouTube. # # # About Nature Photography With A Purpose: was started to share photography of wildlife, nature, landscapes and travel. The photographer, Melinda Sargent, has a degree in Physics and worked for Professor Rowland at UC Irvine for about three years in the atmospheric chemistry department.
